The sermon provides the fundamentals for accessing total health and divine healing.

PRINCIPLES OF DIVINE HEALTH
INTRODUCTION
DEFINITION OF TERMS
DIVINE:   Of, from, or like God.
HEALTH:
Divine Health means:
Sound health that is of God.
Sound health that comes from God.
Sound health that is like God – that is, to have health, the way God has it, to have God’s kind of health.
IT WAS SO IN THE BEGINNING
Man was created with divine health. Genesis 2:7. It was that breath that was responsible for the supernatural health that man enjoyed in the garden. So divine health is supernatural health, i.e. health that is absolutely dependent on God, and not on anything that man has to offer.
Gen 2:7
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
HOW MAN WAS CUT OFF FROM DIVINE HEALTH
Sin cut man off from God. Genesis 2:16-17, Genesis 3:6, 23-24
Gen 2:16-17
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gen 3:6
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Gen 3:23-24
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Consequently man was cut of from supernatural life, and of course from divine health. A healthy spirit is what guarantees a healthy mind and body. 3 John 2.
3 John 2
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
So when man’s spirit died, his mind and body became exposed, and subject to the forces of death – sickness, disease, afflictions and physical death.       Genesis 3:7-8
Man suddenly became responsible for his well being, via natural provisions. Genesis 3:7, Genesis 3:8-9, 15
Gen 3:7-9
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
Gen 3:15
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
GOD’S WILL FOR MAN IS DIVINE HEALTH
For every redeemed child of God, divine health is guaranteed.3 John 2

THE MINISTRY OF JESUS IN RELATION TO DIVINE HEALTH
Man’s State After The Fall:
SIN PUT MAN UNDER THE DOMINION OF SATAN, THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD. JOHN 14:30
John 14:30
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
MAN LOST DIVINE HEALTH TO SIN.
So he became vulnerable to sickness, disease, death, because divine health was his defence against all that.

The Role Jesus Played:
JESUS CAME TO SAVE US FROM OUR SINS - Matthew 1:21, Colossians 2:13, Ephesians 2:1-5
Matt 1:21
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Col 2:13
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Eph 2:1-5
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
BY HIS BLOOD REDEEMED US, BOUGHT US BACK
FROM SIN AND SATAN. Revelation 5:9, 1 Cor. 6:20, Heb. 9:11, 12
Rev 5:9
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
1 Cor 6:20
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Heb 9:11-12
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
HE GAVE US BACK THE GOD-KIND OF LIFE – ZOE.
This is supernatural life, eternal life, divine life.  So divine health is at work in us again, as it was in Eden. So man no longer needs any natural supplement anything outside God, to remain healthy! Alleluia!
HE REMAINED COMMITTED TO MAN’S HEALTH ALL THROUGH HIS MINISTRY.  Acts 10:38
Jesus never tolerated it! Acts 10:38
Acts 10:38
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Man’s State After Jesus Brought Redemption:
MAN NEVER HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH SICKNESS ANYMORE.
Satan has no more power to put sickness on us.  Where we are now, he can’t reach us. Colossians 2:15, Ephesians 2:6 (seated with Christ), Ephesians 1:17-22 (far above)
Col 2:15
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Eph 2:6
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Eph 1:17-22
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

WHOLENESS AND HOLINESS
Wholeness of spirit, soul and body, complete wellbeing is characteristic of holiness.
Holiness is God’s divine nature
Divine health is God’s divine nature.  So we must believe and seek to maintain a state of divine health, even as we seek to maintain a state of holiness. If we hate sin, even more so must we hate sickness and disease.
Jesus forgave sins and also healed bodies.  He exercised authority over both forms of evil – Matthew 9:1-7. He treated both as enemies.
Matt 9:1-7
And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. 2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. 3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. 4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? 5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. 7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
Your body is of great importance to God
Without it, you’re of no good to Him on planet earth.  It’s your earth suit.  You need it to live here on earth.
God had to give even Jesus a body for Him to be able to accomplish His mission here on earth. Hebrews 10:5, 7
Heb 10:5/7
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Your body houses your spirit and your soul.
You need it, like Jesus to accomplish your mission on earth.  Is. 43:21, Rev. 5:10
Isa 43:21
21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
Rev 5:10
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
So it must be in absolute health, full of life state. That’s why God said:         “I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health...– 3 John 2.
We are His temple.  He lives in us.  Nobody wants to live in a dilapidated, beat-down, worn out house!
2. HEALTH AND HEALING
DEFINITIONS
HEALTH
Is a state of being healthy, a state of being whole and sound in body.
HEALING
This means to make whole and healthy, to cure, to restore to soundness. This suggests that health has been absent. Healing is what you get when your lost health has been restored.
Isaiah 53:4-5, Psalm 107:20
Isa 53:4-5
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Ps 107:20
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
From these two scriptures we see that healing becomes necessary only when sickness, disease and destruction are present.
In the absence of that, what you have is health, so you don’t need healing. Genesis 2:8-9
Gen 2:8-9
8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Healing is God’s permissive will, but Divine health is God’s perfect will for man. Romans 12:2, 3 John 2
Rom 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 John 2
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE SICK
Good News! God wants you healthy! Everyday – walking fully in the power of His Word. God has made adequate provisions for health for us – it is His covenant responsibility towards us. Exo 23:25-26, Exo 15:26, Psalm 107:20
Ex 23:25-26
25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. 26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
Ps 107:20
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
So if the word is there, the life of God will be there, the power
of God will be there, so sickness will not be there. John 1:1-5 Ecclesiastes 8:4, Hebrews 4:12, Proverbs 4:20-22
John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Eccl 8:4
4 Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?
Heb 4:12
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Prov 4:20-22
20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
THERE’S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIVINE HEALING AND DIVINE HEALTH
John G. Lake puts it this way: “Divine healing is the removal by the power of God, of the disease that has come upon your body. But divine health is to live day by day, hour by hour, in touch with God, so that the life of God flows into the body, just as the life of God flows into the mind or flows into the spirit.”
Jesus fully paid the price for you to be healthy.
Jesus brought a better covenant established upon better promises.  Heb. 8:6, 1 Corinthians 6:20 (You are bought with a price) Revelation 5:9-12
Heb 8:6
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
1 Cor 6:20
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Rev 5:9-12
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. 11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Gloria Copeland said, “I agree that it is wonderful to get healed when you’re sick, but it’s more wonderful to live in divine health.

SICKNESS IS NOT FROM GOD
Behind every sickness is Satan, never God!
Jer. 29:11, Job 34:10, Job 2:7 John 10:10, Acts 10:3, Luke 13:16
Jer 29:11
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Job 34:10
10 Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
Job 2:7
7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Acts 10:3
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
Luke 13:16
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
AREAS SATAN HITS WITH SICKNESS
a. Sickness of the Spirit
Proverbs 15:13 (Sorrow breaks the spirit)
Prov 15:13
13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
Sin is what makes the spirit sick.
A sick spirit cannot sustain the body. Prov. 17:22, 25:28
Prov 17:22
22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Prov 25:28
28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
b. Emotional sickness e.g., anxiety, bitterness, sorrow, unforgiveness, frustration, etc
c. Physical sickness in the body e.g. cancer, diabetes, rheumatism, AIDS, etc.
d .Demonic oppression e.g. depression, insanity, mental inbalance, fear, etc.

5. SICKNESS IS A SPIRIT!
Behind every form of sickness is a spirit. Luke 13:10-11
Luke 13:10-11
10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. 11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
The word infirmity comes from the Greek word Astheneaia
which means sickness. So there is a spirit of fever, headache, AIDS, paralysis, etc. So basically, sickness is more spiritual than physical.

6. JESUS THE HEALER
Jesus came and brought us salvation for both our soul and our
Body. Psalm 107:20, Psalm 103:1-3, Matthew 9:10-13
Jeremiah 8:22, Matthew 8:17, Acts 10:38
Ps 107:20
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Ps 103:1-3
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Matt 9:10-13
10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. 11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? 12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Jer 8:22
22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
Matt 8:17
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Acts 10:38
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

SEVEN WAYS JESUS HEALED
1. JESUS HEALED BY SPEAKING THE WORD. John 6:63, Luk 6:17, Luk 5:17
John 6:63
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Luke 6:17
17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
Luke 5:17
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
2. BY LAYING HANDS ON OR TOUCHING THE SICK.
Mat. 20:29-34 (Jesus touched their eyes), Mark 1:40-42 (He touched the leper) Luke 13:12-13 (“And He laid his hands on her...”)
Matt 20:29-34
29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. 30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. 31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. 32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? 33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. 34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
Mark 1:40-42
40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. 42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
Luke 13:12-13
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. 13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
3. BY IMPARTATION
Transference of virtue or healing power that flowed from Him.
Matthew 14:34-36 (As many as touched him were perfectly whole)
Mark 3:10, Mark 5:25-34, Mark 6:55-56, Luke 6:19
Matt 14:34-36
34 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. 35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; 36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
Mark 3:10
10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
Mark 5:25-34
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Mark 6:55-56
55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. 56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
Luke 6:19
19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
4. THROUGH THE PEOPLE’S FAITH Mat. 8:5-13, Mark 5:21-23, 41-42
Matt 8:5-13
5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, 6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. 7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. 8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Mark 5:21-23
21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. 22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, 23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
Mark 5:41-42
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. 42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
5. THROUGH THE GIFT OF HEALING
John 5:1-9 (Rise take up thy bed and walk) – impotent man
John 5:1-9
After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. 5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
6. THROUGH UNORTHODOX MEANS
Mark 8:22-25 (he...spit on his eyes) John 9:1-7 (he...anointed the eyes of the blind with clay)
Mark 8:22-25
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. 23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. 24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. 25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
John 9:1-7
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

7. THROUGH EMPOWERING HIS DISCIPLES
Matthew 10:1 (He gave them power against unclean spirits)
Mark 6:7-13, Luke 9:1-2, Luke 10:1, 8-9, Mark 16:15-18
Matt 10:1

4.
HINDERANCES TO DIVINE HEALTH AND HEALING
The reality of divine health is unquestionable. So is the reality of divine healing unquestionable. God’s Word is sure and settled about both.
But why are many not enjoying divine health?  Why are some
Christians still plagued with sickness and disease?
Why do Christians still take drugs to get healed? Surely the fault is not with God! In Lam. 3:40, Haggai 1:7 we are asked to examine our ways. Below are the things that hinder Divine healing or health:
Lam 3:40
40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord.
Hag 1:7
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
1. Sin. Hosea 7:1-2, Isaiah 59:2
Hos 7:1-2
When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without. 2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
Isa 59:2
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
2. Doubt and Unbelief. James 1:6-8, Luke 1:45, Hebrews 4:9-11
Hebrews 11:11
James 1:6-8
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Luke 1:45
45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Heb 4:9-11
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Heb 11:11

13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
Isa 30:1-3
Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

Jer 1:11-12
11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. 12 Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

6. What you eat.
The first law of health has to do with what you eat.
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying,
Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."  But when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit, their destiny was dashed.  They lost paradise and entered into the wilderness of sickness and disease.

EAT HEALTHY AND YOU WILL LIVE HEALTHY
There are certain things that shouldn't be eaten.  In 2 King 4, some sons of the prophets went to look for vegetables for food.  They gathered some wild gourds also, which they used in cooking.  But when they tasted the food, they screamed, "O thou man of God, there is death in the pot."

Some of the things we call food are poisons.  This therefore, calls for caution.

Some people consume a lot of sugar, thinking it is good for their health.  When you consult a specialist, you will discover that sugar is not good for you.

THE EFFECT OF NOT WALKING IN LOVE ON YOUR HEALTH
Failing to walk in love with other believer or anyone for that matter can affect your health. Lack of love will degenerate to bitterness and bitterness defiles the body and destroys health.. Heb.12:14-15
Heb 12:14-15
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
A.      If you are going to walk in Divine Health, you will have to
walk in God’s Love.   If your faith is going to work and be effectual, you will have to put the God-kind of love to work so God’s love can be effectual, Galatians 5:6 says, “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love”.  It takes you walking in love towards others for your faith to be productive.
Over a period of many years, Dr. Kenneth Hagin said, “Some people told me that when they forgave the person that offended them, their long standing sickness disappeared.  Papa Hagin also said there was a woman who was very sick and had gone everywhere for healing, but all to no avail. All of a sudden, she realized that before she could get into the healing line, she needed to reconcile with her brother she had been quarreling with for the past twenty-five years.  She called her brother on the phone and settled the issue.  That very day, her long standing sickness rolled away mysteriously.

B.      The laws and the Prophets are resting on the dictates of love for
people’s liberation.  Matthew 22:37-40
Matt 22:37-40
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
C.      It takes love for the Lord to manifest in the life of the believer.
John 14:21
John 14:21
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
D.      Harmful effects of Animosity         -   Leads to sickness.  The
testimony of Kenneth Hagin, talking about the Pastor that had grudges against  another Pastor that came to plant Church in the same town with him.
